The 5-team Island Junior Hockey League gets its 2014-15 campaign started on Thursday night in Pownal when the Holland College Hurricanes host the Montague Total Assets Fitness Maniacs at 8:00. The Hurricanes are playing their first season at the Pownal Sports Centre after playing their home games in Charlottetown last season.

On Friday night at 7:30 in Evangeline, the Arsenault's Fish Mart Red Wings will host the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons.  The Red Wings have recently been awarded as hosts for the 2015 Don Johnson Memorial Cup and will be building towards having a strong squad come April.

The Maniacs will have their home opener on Saturday night when they host the Red Wings at 7:30 at the Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre.

The Island Champion, Kensington Moase Plumbing & Heating Vipers will get their season started on October 9th when they visit the Holland College Hurricanes in Pownal at 8:00. 

The 32-game regular season will conclude on February 18th, with the league champions joining the host Red Wings April 21-26th at the Don Johnson Memorial Cup in Evangeline.
