The A&S Scrap Metal Metros will be hosting the Fredericton Caps at 7:00 PM this Saturday night at the MacLauchlan Arena Cari A. This will be the first of four home games against New Brunswick teams in the new interlocking PEI-NB Junior B League. The Metros will also be travelling across the pond to New Brunswick to play four games, which is a change to the Island Junior Hockey League that both the players and coaches are looking forward to.

The Metros enter the season with a sense of optimism and look to improve on a strong finish that they had in the 2014-2015 season. The team comes in deep on the back end, led by Team Captain Harrison Wood, along with third year veterans Tyson Blue and Kyle Koughan. Up front fellow veterans Connor Smith, Lucas Holmes and Patrick Cummiskey will be relied on to lead the way. The Metros are also bolstered by  rookies that have lots of hustle and work ethic who will continue to improve and add to the teams success. Goaltenders Daniel Nicholson and Sam Walsh are returning for the Metros and are both solid options between the pipes for the upcoming season. With the talented mix of young and old throughout the lineup, the newly labelled Metros are excited for the year that lies ahead.
