Metros Pull Away Against Maniacs

Cale Pierce scored the winning goal early in the third period and the A&S Scrap Metal Metros added two more late to earn a 5-2 victory over the Eastern Maniacs on Wednesday night at Cody Banks in pre-season action.
 
Taylor Runighan, Cody McPhee (1-1), Jordon Birt (1-2), and Nick Currie also scored for the Metros, with helpers coming from Pierce, Alex Hall (2), Barrington Duffy, Grant Koughan, Tanner Lund, and Thomas Harper.
 
Kyle Martin and Eddie Jenkins replied for Eastern, with Nate Cahill picking up an assist.
 
Cam Duffy started for the Maniacs, and Ben Parent for the Metros.
